Missionary intention - JuneThat where secularization is strongest, Christian communities may effectively promote a new evangelization.
Leave-Takings and New Arrivals
Changes in the missionary personnel that comprise the Consolata community in North America are taking place. Some missionaries have left to serve in missions abroad, others will leave soon, while others still will leave for sabbaticals. We are grateful for the generosity with which they have all served the mission in both the United States and Canada. To the new personnel who has arrived or will arrive shortly to work in North America, we want to extend a very warm welcome.
Fr Peter Turrone Returns
After spending two and a half years at the Consolata mission in Mongolia, Father Peter Turrone has returned home to Toronto for health reasons. The général administration has promised to assign him to a new mission as soon as his health will allow.
Allamano House celebrates twenty five years
Nairobi – Kenya
Last October, 2012, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI inaugurated the Year of Faith which will run until the Solemnity of Christ the King 2013. Religious men and women have been busy organizing seminars/talks to have more knowledge of the Vatican II’s documents’ contents. Benedict XVI had worked for the Church at various hierarchical levels, and his retirement raised many questions from different corners of the world, i.e., politicians, Religious, Christians and Non-Christians at large.
